Björk: Live from Coachella

There’s a ton more where that came from, hit up electro^plankton. She’s using an Audiopad and a JazzMutant Lemur in these performances, two bleeding edge pieces of audio hardware.

For me the tipping point was Medulla, I liked her earlier stuff as well but not as much as I liked that album.

So I followed the link for the JazzMutant Lemur… read the overview… and I still don’t understand what it actually does. An explanation for the bleeding-edge-media-deficient?

    I wrote about it here:

Lemur is an extremely configurable, multi-finger-sensitive touch screen interface for controlling and creating music and video. A library of different UI elements including faders, switches, pads, keyboards, strings, etc. is available to create your own custom controller. Behavior of these elements can be customized according to various physical properties, including friction, evaporation, and gravity.

Did you watch the videos? That’s the best way to understand.
