This is the kind of thing that, in several years given more advanced animation, more interesting music, and a more generous budget, could become mind-blowingly cool. Not that it isn’t already cool but I’m thinking more along the scale of Fantasia 2010.
I want to see an orchestra of pneumonic plants perform Stravinksy’s The Rite of Spring, or a cyborg cephalopod play a Rachmaninov piano concerto inside a spherical harp. Self-contained mechanical ecosystems evolved to a state of pure entelechy, the expression of their collective soul fully realized in the melodies of a single composition, an electron-fueled swan song. OMG Justing I wanna kill this thing. This animation has been up in Best Buy for about 4 months and I see it everyday like 42 times. Now I see it here. I am highly disapointed in you.
