Blue Monday

If you are feeling a little down then you can take solace in the thought that things are unlikely to get any worse.

Today, say experts, is the unhappiest day in the entire year. (…)

More than 85 per cent of us expect the future to be happier than it is now, according to researchers. (…)

His equation takes into account six factors: weather, debt, time since Christmas, time since failing our new year’s resolutions, low motivational levels and the feeling of a need to take action.

Taken together they pinpoint today as ‘Blue Monday’.

I’m actually feeling pretty OK today but whatevs.

    Amazing, it’s true in respect to me. Yesterday evening and then today, Tuesday, have just been depressing.

    No worries, seems like it’s healthy to be down right now — everybody’s doing it. Any of us killing the curve are probably just burning ourselves out.

    I had a very good weekend and am still feeling the buzz from it a bit. Of course, now I get to look forward to being depressed in the future, which is kills that buzz just a little.
