Napfisk, Josh, Snorre: There's a video stream on their site, but you have to pay $6 a month for full, high-quality access. A daily podcast of highlights would be nice.

I wish this channel was a part of the standard broadcasting package from all suppliers that have BBC as a part of their package. Diversity is important to glue together an more accurate idea of the current state of things -> Objectivity in news has a strong subjective guideline in terms of telling what is "true", or rather, in selecting what truths to convieniently leave out of the story to give the angle of approach more leverage. People make up/change their opinions based on what "the news" tell them. I'm not saying I am any different, and that is ofcourse also a big part of why i'm welcoming this new channel. More information makes my opinions and standpoints stronger, more viable (to myself that is) - therefore it is hugely important that the opinion is based on the right mix of information.

Wow, that's quite interesting, i like how that final image was of a kid holding a gun and the tagline saying "that everyone has a right to know..." very diverse with their reporters... i would like to see more :)

That's an impressive catalogue of on-site correspondents. They even snapped up Raggi Omar from the Beeb!

We don't get the station here, but I doubt I'd ever watch it. I can't even imagine who their target audience would be in fact. Still, it's a milestone and an interesting event for media worldwide.
