Flirting with Blindness Redux

Cross your eyes and focus on the center image. These two shots were taken a little over an hour apart by the SOHO satellite. Here are some more examples of stereoscopic photography done with ice crystals if you’re curious or having trouble seeing the 3D composite.

NASA’s STEREO mission, launching sometime around the 18th of October, will use two satellites placed ahead and behind Earth’s orbit to obtain stereoscopic images such as these but far more accurate and detailed. More at Wohba!:
